Dr Panagiota G. Siakka

She was born in Thessaloniki and studied Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She specialized in Rheumatology at the Rheumatology Department of the University Hospital of Heraklion, Crete, and the Rheumatology Department of St Paul ‘s General hospital of Thessaloniki. Due to her increased interest in Systemic Sclerosis she was trained, as a research fellow, on Systemic Sclerosis at the Royal Free Hospital of London, a center specializing in Slceroderma (under the supervision of Prof Carol Black and Dr Chris Denton) and also attended several courses and seminars on this autoimmune disease till nowadays.

She worked as a research fellow at the Hippokration General Hospital of Thessaloniki, at the D’ University Department of Internal Medicine for 6 years during which she prepared her doctoral dissertation titled:

«The effect of anti-TNFα treatment on the dysfunction and injury of the endothelium of the vessels in patients with rheumatoid arthritis»

She is married and has two children and she practices private medicine at Evosmos Thesaloniki since 2008.

She has attended several congresses in Greece and abroad, Educational courses and Seminars on Autoimmune Rheumatic diseases and their treatment and is continuously updated on new developments and treatments on Rheumatology. She also has participated in many of them as speacher.
